January Walk & Talk

This January we are inviting everyone who feels able, to get moving and get those steps in to improve your overall wellbeing. Even our staff are getting involved!


We began this challenge last year with the aim of collecting enough miles to walk the coast Scotland. Well we never quite made it but we are hoping that by going again this year we may make it! We don't always achieve our ambitions first time, life can sometimes be more difficult than we predicted but we can keep going.


Helen one of our Education Officers is counting her steps in her Jado Kuin Do class.

Getting outside can really boost our overall wellbeing, fresh air, spending time in green and blue spaces, connecting with nature or even taking on a physical challenge can boost our physical and mental health. We are advocating walking and talking as its a challenge that most of us can participate in, talking and connecting with others can provide us with time and space to process what is going on in our lives. Providing company and a listening ear is such a valuable action and can make a great impact.


Jenny another of our Education Officer is counting her steps on all her dog walks this month.

We will be holding a series of additional walks this month so if you want to join us please come along. If you fancy counting your month of steps and miles then do that and submit them so we can add them to out total. It takes a community sometimes to get things done and we would love you to help us achieve our ambitions.
